get scarfed!
Oh No! Look at what happened to the ladies from yesterday's picture! They plied so much make-up on, they became plastic. Well, close enough. These are head dummies I saw when I went walkabouts in an area of the city we call Masjid India (India Mosque). A lot of Muslim women in Malaysia cover their heads, and whole bodies, as a sign of their piety to God. It used to be a simple monotone scarf but now you'll find some that are fancy and sequined. These, of course, are quite simple looking. If only the practice of religion was this simple in our times.

The wearing of scarf is to show that a woman recognizes authority, at least that is how it is our religion following the advise of the Bible. =)
Those are some unattractive dummies!
I like the black one and also the pink one. Could you (well, not you but) wear the pink head scarf with a black burka or must it be all one colour? NOW there's a question for you Edwin he he. Glad you got the postcard.
This is another awesome photo, Edwin! Love the colors.
Looks like some of the shops round where I live.
My favourite recent sight: a local lovely with her piety expressed in her hijab....and her skin tight hipster pants, complete with de rigeur g-string poking out the top. Wished I'd been fast enough to get my camera out for a back view!
Very very very stranger. don't like it. Remember me a bad movie who i'm afraid.
This shot contrast with the "lipstick, powder and paint"
congratulations on the anniversary... keep it up !!
Ha, ha! Like the line linking to yesterdays post! Very funny!
The practice of religion has NEVER been simple. The scarves are lovely, and they do enhance the beauty of the wearer, esp. if she's beautiful to begin with...!!
