courting action

Marriage on the rocks? I do has become I don't? You finally signed on the dotted line to say 'Give me what you must and get out of my hair you twit!' and your lawyer takes you to this place to swear in front of a full courtroom and the judge that the marriage was a sham and your spouse in a raving idiot. You wait hours in line but the actual swearing takes 3 minutes and voila! You're legally single to date and remind yourself not to make the same mistake again (unless your name is Alexis Carrington Colby Dexter.)

Oh, I assumed that Malaysia has no divorce. In the philippines, we dont have divorce but we can annul the marriage. Heard that the process takes forever though!!

Like any country, divorce is a way of life. Too many people read Mills & Boons and Danielle Steel paperbacks, marry for all the wrong reasons and then voila!

I had to go with a friend when she divorced her husband and didn't realize the so many people wanted out of a bad marriage.

It's funny you assume we have no such cases here. If one was Muslim, then you'd have to divorce one of your wives to legally have only 4. Which means a Muslim man can marry as many women as he wants. As for the other religions, only one wife at a time please. A lot of couples from my generation seem to find divorce a hot topic of discussion at the dinner table.

Oh, as for annulment, that happens sometimes too. My aunt, for example, had her marriage annuled after 3 years.

Yes, the process does take some time.

in South Africa, statistics show that one out of every 3 marriages ends up in divorce - main reason: adultery. As for the Muslims: can one woman have four husbands too? :-)
