are you being served?

How are you today? After last night's automobile fiasco, I'm now waiting at home for my car to finish it's 'botox' treatment. The sky has decided to pour and the cool breeze is such a welcome from the heat and humidity of the afternoon. Doing some work while I wait, with a coffee by my side and listening to Bobby McFerrin. So, here's a cuppa I ordered for you. Hope it's just the way you like it.

I'll drink to that! This may or may not be interesting to you, Edwin, but I taught McFerrin's son when they lived in the Twin Cities plus he was the graduation speaker the year his sone graduated. In addition, McFerrin's aged father who was an Opera singer recently died. A little bit of trivia (altho a death is not trivial!).

Thanks, Edwin! A latte please! :)Beautiful picture.

Kate, that's so cool! BTW, I just heard (upon his retirement) that Kofi Annan graduated from Macalester College. I never knew that!

Edwin, Yes, Macalester is well-known for its dedication to international students. Kofi Annan did indeed go there. One of these days I'll post a picture of Old Main on campus (close to my home).

Naturally, you're into "the Voice"! Whatchya got? Did you ever hear his "Blackbird" (Beatles), must have been years before "Don't W B Happy". Album recorded at US army bases in W. Germany, hooked me.
That perked me up - I'm sitting here with a cup of Earl Grey, listening to the pc humming along...Shame about the battery, but at least you got home first, kind of.
