supernaturally tall

No effects, no PS tweaking. I was fooling about with exposure, aperture and shutter speed settings. I wanted to take a picture of the view I get from my house. It was late at night and restless, as one usually is when insomnia is a good buddy. Yup, that's the Twin Towers. Strange glow. You know, there's a story about how there's a 88th floor that humans can't access. It was built to appease the spirits that used to rest on the land it was built on. Then I see this shot and I go oooohhhhh.

the conspiracy theory is true! they said the twin towers are two rockets that will take off when something happens.

all the datuk datuk and datin datin will all rush in via secret tunnel via the Dewan Filharmonik and take off.

The photo looks like rockets blasting off ya...

Ed, are you still there, or are you snatched by aliens after posting this photo?

PS, you really live in the heart of KL judging from this shot ;-)

Wow... those are ghostly! It appears the spirits take over more than the 88th floor at night. I really like the lavender sky also, I usually get an orange glow in night shots, the lavender makes it look all the more otherworldly.

I'd like to leave a photo comment, but I can't. The phrase "twin towers" makes me catch my breath, as an American. My birthday on that date will be forever marred because of what occurred in my country. May nothing similar happen like that again, anywhere in the world. I am so damned sick of violence and discord. Sorry to add such a negative post to your blog.

Wierd strange photo! Like Kate, any time I see "twin towers" - espeically these days with the 5th anniversary being discussed ad nauseum all around, I think of what happened here - in a way it brought the US into the world because we'd been so insulated from the grief and tragedy other countries have always had to deal with!

Get OUT Edwin...are you sh@@ing me? You didn't do ANY tweaking at ALL????? Reeeeeeeeeeally??? Then that just CREEPS me out...I'm a spirit-believer...and the 88 must have something to do with the Asian (or Chinese maybe) influence...I know if my son would have been born on 8-8-88 (HUGELY LUCKY NUMBER), instead of 4-8-88 he would have been rocketed into some magical, mystical Chinese fairytale Kindgom...but I was NOT going to carry him for aNOTHER 4 MONTHS! LOL! Your shot still creeps me out! LOL! (=

Pink and golden, surely the twins never appeared in such colors. Yep, photography is a little about experimenting. This one turned out right. I like the color of the sky and the surrounding buildings.

The pink of the flowers matches the pink sky nicely. The towers actually look like a shot of a large water fountain at night with the glowing bright white coming from the moving water, and the tops look like two extra large spurts of water! I thought, just wuickly, there was a fountain in the foreground of the pic.

Uf! A very ghostly photo! On the other side, they look like two Eiffel towers one beside the other (with the extra lighting they used in 2000).

Keropokman, I've always imagined them to rocket off when there's an extreme emergency in our country. Filled with the richest, most influential people leaving us plebs to suffer the consequences.

Kate, the date is one we all remember for the rest out or history. Remember that it is your birthday, the day you were given life. As sad as it may be, enjoy the fact that you are here with the ones you love. Godbless. 911... dial for emergency. Did you know there was a bomb scare at these Twin Towers the day after the WTC collapse? It wasn't a great time. And that's why all of us advocate Life.

88 in Chinese means Double Prosperity. Even in death, we get our way. ;)

Toodles everyone!
