would you live in this?
This is just one of many houses in Kampung Baru, right in the heart of KL. You may consider it a 'high-rise' building, a condominium even. Kampung is the Malay word for village and that is what Kampung Baru looks like. One big village with most of the houses built with wood panels for walls and steel sheets for roofs. It's a Malay community. You won't find any other race in the area. And this is where time moves very slowly. Not much has changed throughout the years.

Would I live in this? Not unless I had to but then there's more to housing than meets the oustide eye. The interior, the view, the street, the neighbourhood all concur to the choice of adequate housing. I suppose if the place is exclusively malay a foreigner might feel uncomfortable living there... but then maybe not.
As far as I'm concerned the cleanliness would come top with the view/environment coming close second I think...
Anyway Edwin, thanks for dropping by on Sydney Daily Snap today and providing support and encouragement. Much appreciated!
Enjoy those lattes!
Greetings from Finland`s winter.
I have to say, that the whole Malaysia is too hot for living.
If you would like to look at my yesterday post , you understand, what I mean :))
I wish you nice time in your warm, beautiful country!
Funny house indeed. Or rather three houses sitting on top of each other. It looks unsafe but would I live in it? Hmmm, I think so, but only for a week or two.
belle maison, l'architecture est tres originale.
beautiful house, architecture is very original.
erm...if it was by the ocean and you twisted my arm....but i don't reckon so :0/
Well I like it, it is cult, interesting and yes as pod say if it was in the ocean...
Ok i mean by the ocean!
I don't mind living in this place as long as it is clean and healthy and the people are friendly :)
How are you Edwin? Long time no see.
I think it's a cute building!
Dsole, your comment is brilliant! CUTE house you said. I don't anyone of us had that word in mind to describe it!
Pod, you think we could build something like this at Tamarama? Bloody cheaper and we don't have to wait a decade for me to come over :)
Well everyone, it's either ocean views or snow for most of us. I agree. This heat nowadays is insane!
Apa khabar Tanty? Semuanya bagus sekali.
you could probably collapse it into a suitcase or two and we could have a go at putting it up here?
;0)
those years living in KL, i have never driven there :-)
