twilight lights

Another day ends and you think about what you've done for the day. Some accomplishments, some left for tomorrow and then the things you wished you'd done if it wasn't for a sloth-like friend called procrastination. Night falls and I run home to sit in front of my computer. First thing, as always, is click on DP links, give my 2 cents worth and finally return home to see who said what. Then when all that is done, emails and work stuff. By then, night would've taken over and the scent of morning dew begins to fragrance the air.

I'm so glad I don't have a 'normal' job. I get to sleep in whenever I like. Just like today.

Oh, please join me in welcoming Helen Chen and Gail's Man to the DP community.

Oh Edwin - you are so right about the sloth-like friend. I must say, I do like the stuff you write along with the beautiful photos. Thank you for the way you contribute to the DP ring - your comments make my day happier ;-)

I wish you a wonderful day!

Your photo, your words - one more day & one more night (we got through!)and one more visual & textual justification for telling you that I hope we will have you around in some shape or format for a long time to come. Maybe just loosen the bonds of what is only a perceived obligation. Your first oblig. is to yourself, so you will decide where the light is leading you. You bring so much to the day Edwin, even if it's at night!
This is another fine post.

Hi Edwin,
You and I have the same friend, Mr Procrastination. We're very close friends.

Somehow my friend and I get everything done that needs to get done - and nothing more than that!

So soft, beautiful Edwin.

Take it easy, read again what Nuño wrote about having fun. Expressing a bit ourselves is the key. Think about nice and good things, focus on Lotus :)

... and that incredible blue water of the fountains.

Look back : Straight Up, perspective, Snail mail, closer... you're hundredth GORGEOUS post...

Cheers

Oh, I like it all: the contrasting colours, both dark, light, soft, and harsh. I esp. like the wisp of the moon, barely visible.

This is a wonderful shot. I love the way the softness of nature in the lacey silhouette of the trees plays off the apparent solidity of the modern world as expressed in the lamp post. I say "apparent solidity" because in reality, it is nature that is solid and timelss and man's creations that are ephemeral. The limited color palette is just right and the way the sunset is echoed in the colors of the lamp is perfect.

I have admired other photographs on DP. But this is the first one that has truly moved me.

Edwin, I've been so busy this week I haven't been able to leave as many comments as I'd like, even though I've been able to stop by. This is a beautiful shot and a wonderful moment that you have expressed. Fantastic post!!
