up high
It's so good to have friends who come visit and book hotel rooms on higher floors. Here's one of the many condominiums that grace our KL skyline. Nothing spectacular of course but I love how the gray clouds frame it. Yup, it's been raining lately and thank heavens for that. It helps to wash away the haze that's still plaguing our air. And the rain didn't stop my friends and me from going to the fairground last night. Wet and wild (and no need for bikinis either!)
Tomorrow I start a new series. Come and see. Looks like it's going to be a good Monday.

Dynamic! Great shot, Edwin.
We also have good long soak (but not that strong) since this morning.
I agree about the clouds. I love that sky and the quality of light and how dark those trees look... and the hills in the background... and the turquoise colour of the scaffolding on the second building.
I think it's one of my favorites so far... I have a thing for photos of high-rise apartments :)
cette photo est impressionnante. on voit le coté sombre de ta ville ;o). c'est un hotel ? belle architecture.
this photograph is impressive. with dimensions dark your city is seen ;O). it is a hotel? beautiful architecture.
uhhh such ominous clouds! great shot, a bit gothic!
thanks so much for the postcard^_^;
ooh. a bit broody. yes the rebecca series continues for a bit...
Isn't it amazing how homogenised cities are lookign with all these Identikit apartment blocks.
Looks like rain is NOT over yet. Ominous sky. Tall building must give great scenic views.
I love the dark inquisitive clouds - they add drama !
where is this new development located at?
The skyline has changed so much since I was in Malaysia 5 years ago. Is that Jalan Duta in the backdrop? I like the dark skies looming in the background.
This picture is splendid!
And I loved yours pictures about the fairground.
I guess the new series is about skyliines. Maybe not.-) I can't wait. Anyway this view is serene and impressive, I can feel the breeze blowing and whistling.
Malaysia memang seronok!!
mana itu new series?
Ok Kris, series sudah started ;)
K'pok and Shagen, this is at the corner of Yap Kwan Seng and Jalan Tun Razak.
Sally, I agree. Everything is looking the same nowadays. Identity and culture compromised.
Mike C, thanks dude!
Thanks everyone. Hope you like the new series :)
looks so dramatic and spooky with the clouds and interesting angle =)
Edwin, Love your site and the photos.
Speaking of thunderous clouds, I am sitting here on a Tuesday evening on the 68th floor of Tower 2, Petronas Twin Towers. I can't see outside my window - complete grey. Everynow and then lightning strikes the tower and I can hear the electrical charge on the metal just outside my window. I love it after the storm is over. The sky is fresh and I look down at the clouds below. Its magical. You'd go beserk with your camera if you were here after the storms. The build up to the storms is quite fantastic too. I watch the clouds and rain roll in from Batu Caves, hitting the Towers in just minutes.
a beautiful sky... for areally good photo...
Awesome contrast in the sky, great picture!
Curly's Photoshop

thanks curly ;)
Those units at the top must have a spectacular view, but I'm not sure about opening my window.
Hey, you stole our skyline! Looking rainy your way, too, I see. Hey, let me get this straight, you guys went bikiniless to the fairgrounds? ;^)
