hot oil treament

This ladie is making a local prawn fritter type of thing. It's very popular. You can eat it as is or with a sweet and syrupy chilli sauce.

We locals love our fried foods. All over the city, you'll be sure to find a little stall like this wherever you walk. We fry everything you can think of. Bananas, squid, yam, lotus paste, chicken gizzard, lentils. That's all I can think of for now but I'm sure someone out there is frying something. Oops, I feel a craving coming on.

Edwin, I'd love to be able to walk the streets with you to taste a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Without ethnic food our diets would be so bland!!

Great food but take care of your health. Did you chcek if the oil used for frying was re-used from previous frying or fresh? Deep fried stuff may have killed all germs, hence no need to wear gloves while frying. So how much oil or cholestrol we consumed in this? Oh yeah, other stuff comes in as well like salt, colouring, flour, etc. IS there running water available to clean and wash? I guess you only live once so just wallop in and gobble up - your intestines and bowel may tell on you later for being such behaviour.

I don't eat as much fried foods as I used to. Yup, the re-used cooking oil and all that. Health-wise, it's not too wise to consume the stuff.

I've been watching what I eat. I've been cooking more. Finding the time in my mad schedule to cook at least one meal a day. No more takeaways, no fried banana fritters.

Thanks for popping by guys.
