gastronomie

I'm hungry. Always am. I love food. And I love these glazed BBQ chicken wings. You can get them at most stall food streets. This one is at Jalan Alor, just off the shopping district. Anyone who visits KL is usually, if not always, brought to this street to eat. Noodles, rice, dim sum, everything fried, steamed, grilled, boiled, double-boiled... It's all here. Oh, lunch has a completely different fare from the night choices. The stalls change when twilight comes. So, for street gastronomists, here's your near 24-hour food fix.

It's so interesting to see actual meals being served on the street. The most here you could get is a soda and a corn dog, and those are reserved for special times of the year (festivals and town events). Great shot, as well.

Ummmm! Those wings look delectable and the coals seem to be perfect. Wish our culture had the same practices, but afraid not.

Late for the previous, but early for the new DP. This is a wonderful shot Ed. If I hadn't just finished the last of the best curry I've ever cooked, I'd be salivating for those chicken wings!
It must be something to check out all those different delicacies. Oh, BTW, McFerrin "I'm My Own Walkman".....Mmm-M! About 1981, album recorded live in concert at a US army base in Germany. Check it! I think that's the album called "The Voice".

How much fun it must be to walk along the street, buying and eating from stall to stall. That's how I'd likely walk, fingers full of food.

This is such a good photo Edwin. I love the action of his fanning his wings and his expression. The red hot coals add a lot to it too.

Very well done.
