in bloom
I've resisted posting this picture for days. It's the first lotus to bloom in my garden for over a year. For me, the flower signifies a new beginning as well as a representation of the love that surrounds me in times of crisis. Today is one such day. My friend Candice went to court this morning and officially, her divorce, leads her into a new chapter of her life. This Lotus I post is dedicated to her new beginning and to Lisi for all the Lotus pictures she's posted. Happy days.

hey, what a nice post, both the photo and the dedication...Ed I'm afraid the lotus I photographed are put up specially for a show, but I'm sure there are temples and other places with lotus ponds ;-)

I'll say it myself. Thank you all for the sweet wishes and thank you Edwin for the lovely flower. I's been a LONG time since I received any and a perpetual online one will never wilt or die will it? ;) So when shall we get our tattoes done?
Finally we see the one from your yard, I think it's been about 3 weeks since you first mentioned it! Something home grown or home made always seems that much more precious. Very lovely and an even more lovely dedication. Best wishes!
