fairground pt.1
Last night, after dinner, my friend Candice and me, saw a travelling amusement park and immediately did a U-turn. At first, all I wanted to do was take pictures. Ever since I bought my trusty Nikon, I harboured dreams of capturing the bright and colourful lights of a park. Who knew walking in that the both of us would succumb to these lights and ran around like a pair of giggly girls. Yes, this begins another series for KLDP. Hope you enjoy this one.
Today is Aidil Fitri. The beginning of another new year in the Muslim calendar. To all my Malaysian readers, Maaf Zahir dan Batin. To everyone who celebrates this month: May the wheels of love, peace and understanding spin forever. Assalamuailaikum.
Check out another fairground's shots over at Helsinki.

oh i cant keep up! i love fairgrounds and twinkly lights. cool shot edders!
The colors and design is wonderful. Yes, it does make one child-like, and I can't think of better qualities!!
Outstanding photo. I have looked for a similar photo opportunity and not found one yet. But the very next fair which comes to town I will surely attend.
stunning photo, ed!
What about the giggling photo?
Selamat hari raya, kepada saudara saudari back home (feel like singing the raya song, pulak)

Oh Edwin you've done it again, your photos are always so powerful and beautiful. This one is truly exceptional. I'd love to think that it's all thanks to your trusty Nikon but there's talent in there too! I'll be back for more, as always!!!
:d

AND HAPPY DAYS THERE.

Oh YEEESSSS! You can be as proud as a PEACOCK of this one, it's just great.
And to think I had 8 days a couple of weeks ago to wander round the annual fairground and shoot to my heart's content. Except it was THAT 8 days, the worst & I was understandably less than whelmed re-picture shooting.
Always a great subject, but I must tell you, it's not the Nikon, or the Canon or the Olympus, or the Leica etc. You don't have to look far to find results with a Nikon that wouldn't do justice to a Kodak Brownie box! Proof? I'll mail you, right!
Oh,and can I now call you the Ed of Eid? Enjoy those parties!
Wow! Cool shot....Love the lights!
leobrother, this is soooo Las Vegas I thought I was at LVDP...we should have our eyes checked...for you, go see my Oct 14th post...if you still see Maggie Cheung there you're in serious trouble LOL
ok, afterall you're my leobrother...here's for u:
Maggie Cheung
I look forward to the series, fairground shots acn be so amazing, and this first one is no exception. I love it! I'll be back for some more!
Edwin, it's like watching a new episode of TV series. We will be glued to this new series :-)
Mention fairgrounds, and John from Melbourne appears above this comment. It brings back memories of Moomba in Melbourne.
heheheheheheh...thanks guys!
who would've thought a 5 second shutter delay would end up like this? I keep looking at the shot myself and can't believe it! I'm so glad that we went to the park and even happier that so many of you are enjoying it. I hope the rest of the series is equally as enjoyable. Good to feel young and giggly again.
Lisi, thanks for Maggie AND Mao!
Stewie, Ed of Eid! That's brilliant!
Kris, you'll see the 'girls' at the end of the series. ;)
Oh, wonderful, just wonderful. My favorite of the series so far.
