on a pedestal

It's time to lighten up.

I'm a tall person so 98% of the world is shorter than me. Most everyone I know I've nicknamed 'midget.' However, I've always wondered why women had a thing for platform pumps like the ones in this picture. Word of advice ladies: Men want you to look up at them, not the other way around.

I'm going to bed now(completely exausted) but before i must say i love to see women with classic high heel shoes, not the ones on the pic, but attention to the vertebral column.

those classic heels are lovely but that pump spelt back ache! I can only wear sandals & 1-1.5" heels or else everyone else will seems even more 'midget'

*argghh* miss digging through the piles of goodies

I'm more into comfort than being sexy , so I prefer ballet shoes like shoes which are popular now in japan and sandals , with 1.5 heels.

I always say real men don't care if they look up to their loved one - or it it's vice versa. But I could be wrong, right?

I have always been of the opinion a MAN must have invented heels...no women would torture her feet like that on purpose! Ok well, maybe if they are really cute we would! ;)

Hi Bapak Ed! Or is it Sheila? But then if your Bapak Sheila, you're going to have to treat yourself to those platforms in the sales! Which I suspect you don't fancy.
TINA= acronym for 'there is no alternative'. I wasn't calling YOU Tina, silly!
Here, the female shoe rage of the past few winters (very long time for a fashion!) has been incredibly long-fronted ugly monsters, like crocodiles' snouts. Usually black patent. Again, impossible to walk in. "Shakespeare's in his alley, with his pointed shoes and his bell...." I agree with Nuno!

Eddie...will you please tell Kala that we're not certain about his sex...we only know that he's male now! LOLOLOLOLOL!

And I really think you should just hop on over to Oahu and meet up with Dana & Kala and I and we'll just all have a gay ol' time!

Heck, let's extend the invite to everyone! Come on DPers...if ya have the time, come on down!

The more the merrier...can y'all imagine the group DP shot with Edwin in heels, Kala in nothing, Amy in cardiac arrest, Dana in hiding (from all the commotion), Jug incognito, Nuno in his dreams, Kris in pain (think heels & backache!), Midnite & Tanty in their tutus (woowoo), Lisi & Shelly & Annie & Nowhere....SOMEwhere!

OK, I think this "we're-going-to- Hawaii-we're-going-to-Hawaii" craziness has really gone to my head...

Edwin, BTW, awesome pix & editorial lately...your restlessness is working for ya and I feel like I've known you for a hundred years! Hang in there...I predict sunny days ahead!

:-)

Oh Ame! I just had to respond the moment I read your comment esp. the one about Kala and his sex. I'm sure sure you know I'm thinking about it...often LOL!! ;)

Oahu/Honolulu is one of my dream destinations and I do hope to go someday. But do you know how difficult it is for a Malaysian to get a U.S. travel visa? And I'm Muslim too (high on the terrorist list!) What am I gonna do? Whip everyone with my feather boa???

Stewart, you just crack me up! You Brit twat!

Jugs, I don't even want to begin imagining what your actual thoughts are. naughty no doubt!

Nuno...for someone who claims he's crap with English, you truly have a witty way with your words. Brilliant to say the least!

Kris, this is a shot at Vincci! I know you miss it!

Kala, read Ame's comment above.

Annie and Shelly, the world is just warped!

Tanty, Midnite and Lisi, hard to wear continually I agree. I once had to emcee a function wearing 5inch stilettos for 5 hours. I walked bare feet the next 3 days. Flats for me please.

Now come ON! 'Muppet', I'm taking such a liking to that I'm thinking of....but Brit!!! Nobody's ever dared call me that before! Way over the top, Bapak!
As for Twat, sorry. Whassat mean?
& Ame, it was well worth stopping by again to read that collection of jewels. Looks like you're recovered from your still-fresh loss and LOL is back on the agenda, where we all need it! You are a fine host, Edwin!

I'm already too tall to look up at most men - but I do love how heels make me feel as long as I don't have to walk in them! I agree w/ NWM - I hate the really long pointy toes - with feet as big as mine they make my feet look ridiculous!
