that's what friends are for

An abandoned police shelter, in the middle of the city. Rakan (Buddy) Cop. It's the same everywhere in the world, innit? Ain't no buddy of mine. The police force in Malaysia isn't well respected. They've even gone as far as start a "No Bribes" campaign to help clean up their image. And I should stop here. The government recently said that Malaysian bloggers face a criminal charge if 'unhealthy' things are posted regarding our nation. Also we talk 'bollocks' said one newspaper. Okay then.

I love the Police. Especially Roxanne. Great song.

Be glad that an attempt to improve is being made. Censorship is NOT a good idea... For the authorities: You are the healthiest person I know!!!! (Besides Kala in his sarong terry towel). Peace!

"I'm an Englishman in Lis-Bon"...
After your disturbing info, Edwin, I'm on a blood-red alert over anything I now write in this blog, cos I don't want to get you in trouble (you know how much I'd miss you & I'd never come & visit you if you were doing time, cos they'd nick me too!). If it's abandoned, where did those excellent gentlemen retire to?

I think in the US it depends on what groups you talk to as to if the police are respected. I think minorities have a very tough time and it’s very unfortunate. I have a friend who is from Iran and is one of the best people I know. She was arrested for hitting a parked car, without getting into the details I know a white woman who did the same thing. Do you think she was arrested? Of course not.

The police here (locally) are generally very good, but you get bad apples too, just like in any cross section of society.

Do I want to know what the graffiti says?

Well, I hope your police manage to clean up their image. Not that I know anything about it...just wishing them luck...

I'm not sure how censoring bloggers will help, but...

I'll be watching you...

Luggi, you mean they'll taste better with a bit of butter?

Jugs, it's the other way around here. I have no idea what it says. It does look like, "keep us safe"

Midnite, hello to your uncles ;)

Tanty, uniforms are so important.

Oh dear Lisi, all the way in HK. That's just no good for us.

Thanks for all your comments today. You know I can't really reply with my deepest thoughts for fear that Nowhere will miss me too much when I'm in Sunnyville Lock-up.
